A Walk to Remember....

This evening we participated in the Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We were very blessed to be able to walk with our Ninja Nephew Michael who kicked Burkett Lymphoma's a#%!!! We were all given balloons to walk with. Supporters carried red, in memory of gold and survivors carried white. The walk was held right after sunset, and in each balloon was a battery operated candle light that we turned on. As the walk began, I couldn't help but get teary eyed and overcome with emotion. My nephew IS A SURVIVOR. The tears were flowing indeed.

 

Shopping with NanaB

We ran errands with my mom this weekend. I should probably explain. My mom and I define errands as SHOPPING. Yay!!A day of shopping wouldn't be complete without a stop at Target. Now, before going in, I did explain to my children that they may or may not be getting anything, but they are welcome to look at EVERYTHING. And of course, my mom couldn't resist the power of my children! They have it down to a science. Then came the big decision what to buy. Wyatt took this decision very seriously, you can see his intense thinking in the pictures below. Oh and Whitney took 2 seconds to pick out what she wanted (takes after her Momma for sure!).

A Lazy Saturday Morning

We love lazy Saturday mornings. This particular morning, we spent the entire morning in our jammies and played with Lucky Dog. He sure has been such a welcome and delightful addition to our family!

Best Buddies

Wyatt and Jaden became best buddies when they were in the 3 year old class. They were together from day 1 and thru pre-k. This year is different :-( Jaden goes to Kindergarten at another school. However, that has not stopped the boys from seeing each other. I love surprising the kids after school with "Guess where we're going today" and they scream and jump up and down "Jaden's House"!! Best part of Jaden and Wyatt becoming friends is that I adore his mom Anne. We have become so close in such a short period of time. We consider each other family. We love and cherish our times together (wine may be included on occasion, but its always fun!!!) We had a last minute get together yesterday and had SO much fun! Here are just a few pics!

If Whitney's not singing in the car, usually something's up or she's asleep. In this case, something was up. She somehow managed to get my makeup bag (still baffled about this) and preceded to put eye shadow on using my base sponge. Couldn't resist the pictures....she was so proud.

This girl LOVES to sing!!!

Thanks to Whitney's 3 year old teacher (Ms.Erin), Whitney absolutely loves to sing! She'll sing just about anything and even makes up her own songs. Her favorite place to sing is in the car. And she sings ALOT!!! Wyatt has to tell her to stop singing sometimes just so he can talk! The only time she doesn't like to sing is......you guessed it.....when I'm trying to record her on my phone. I did capture her singing the ABC's though, so hear you go......
