Let's get this over with...

This morning Wyatt had tubes put in his ears and I'm so glad it's over with. Last night I could not sleep. Even though I worked for an ENT doctor in college I was still nervous. And I just kept saying to myself nothing to eat or drink after midnight, nothing to eat or drink after midnight. I am a creature of habit so I was worried when he woke up I was going to go straight to making his bottle. We got to the surgery center around 7:15 they took us back about 7:45. Went through all the paperwork, told us what to expect and then we had to wait for the dr. he came in around 8:20 answered a few questions and then they took him at 8:27 and called us into the consultation room at 8:34. For those of you adding that's a whopping 7 minute surgery! When they called us back to recovery they didn't even have to show us where to go because we heard him screaming! He was flopping around in the nurses arms trying to get away. Poor baby had no idea what was going on. It took about an hour for him to calm down and once we got home he slept for 3 hours! He is now back to himself and doing great. Hopefully this is the end to ear infections and antibiotics!

"Let me check these things out first, before you put them on me."

"Ok, I'm good with it. Let's get this show on the road."

Cuddling with his tiger on the way home. Poor Baby.

Great Memorial Weekend

We had a great holiday weekend. Saturday we did some major yard work. Had a few dead trees to get rid of. Wyatt had his 1 year old photo shoot that afternoon (see post below). I've trained Wyatt well cuz he sure knew what to do for the camera. Can't wait to see the rest of the pics. Sunday morning we left to go to the lake (Wyatt's first time) and we had soooo much fun and can't wait to go back. Wyatt showed his true colors...he is definetly his father's son and loooovvveee's the outdoors. Here are some pics from our awesome weekend. Wyatt getting his first fishing lesson from pawpaw and taking it very seriously...

...and loving it!!!

This boy is not afraid of anything. It's hard to tell in the pic, but David was trying to see if
Wyatt would touch the minnow and he wanted to do more than touch it. He tried to take it out of his hand!

Nope. Not afraid of anything. Went right after this fish.

The boys idea of fishing...

..my idea of fishing :)

Our adorable niece Blair getting some time in with her pawpaw.

I'm pretty sure that driving the golf cart was his favorite thing to do!!!

"Mom, quit taking pictures and let's go. I got places to go and people to see!"

He also loved digging in the ice chest. He tried so hard to get a coke and when he would get a hold of one and drop it...

..this is what he looked like. Poor Baby.

Eventually, he did get ahold of it.

How he knows what to do with a Coke can, I have no idea.

This is pretty much how he looked all weekend. Happy, happy, happy!

A Good Find...

Those of you that know me, know that I looooovvvveee to shop and I do alot of it. I love to find cute boutiques and/or stores that feature local artisans. I've decided I should start passing this info along . I found this website http://www.bloomingbabiesboutique.com/ thru another blog that I follow. The blog I follow is someone that lives in New York and she featured this artisan who happens to live in McKinney(Love to support Texans)! She has absolutely adorable monogrammed stuff. So I ordered a bib and t-shirt for Wyatt's 1st birthday and ABSOLUTELY love them! Great quality and fast service. I called her and told her that Wyatt was having a western birthday party and she had the perfect thing in mind. It's hard to tell from the picture but the red print is bandanna. It's sooo cute, she even put a picture of it on her website. She has everything from beach towels, to key fobs, to lots of different baby items that can be monogrammed so check it out! I think I'll be ordering the key chain next. Happy Shopping!

Beautiful Day

What a beautiful day today was. After church, lunch and quick nap we took Wyatt to the park for some fun in the swing, climbing on the playground equipment and a long walk. He is such a funny baby in public. I can't wait to see what he'll do when he's walking and talking. On second thought I might be in trouble when he can. He is very into whatever is going on around him. He loves to people watch and say things and wave to babies, adults (and dogs). I'm hoping this means he will be an independent and sociable child. David doesn't have a shy bone in his body (once you get to know him) me on the other hand, I was extremely shy growing up. I didn't really open up until college. And still in certain situations I can be pretty shy. I'm pretty sure Wyatt takes after his Daddy. Can't wait to see what the toddler years will bring us.

Update on his ears -We went last Monday to see the ENT to check out his ears (which were fine) and talk about tubes. Scheduled his surgery for May 27th (that was the earliest they could get him in - Yikes) and then 3 days later we had an appointment with the pediatrician for a recheck on his ears and iron level. And guess what....He had ANOTHER double ear infection. For those of you who are counting that's ear infection #6! This boy definitely needs tubes ASAP! The dr gave us extra antibiotic and said just keep him on it until the surgery. Needless to say we're counting down the days to tube surgery. Even though he's had a tough time with his ears that has not stopped his mojo. He is all over the place and just started last week pulling himself up on things to stand and then letting go. This is such an exciting time. I think he'll be walking pretty soon!!!

He sure does love to swing!!!

This is the Hi Mommy aren't I so cute that you don't see me getting the cd of the table picture.

If I could only hear his thoughts in this picture. "I think I can, I think I can!"
