The day before we left for Disney, Mickey and Minnie delivered a very special package especially for Wyatt and Whitney. They were so surprised!!

Thanksgiving Feast at School

Parties are always fun at school. Thanksgiving is my favorite. I could eat Thanksgiving food everyday of the year!

Playing with Friends

Wyatt had a buddy spend the night and then we met up with his other buddy for an entire day full of playing, shopping, seeing Santa, eating, and then some more playing. Always, fun when these kids get together.

 

They were not up for a group picture with Santa but agreed on a picture with Jesus. Love these kids!!

You can't see Wyatt's arms in this picture but they are crossed. And he is totally analyzing this Santa guy. Then decided no picture was necessary!

But this Santa will do!

 

Thanks to Ms. Anne she bought them some special goodies for being so good in the store. They were patiently waiting for us to finish checking out with the new Christmas decos for Anne's house.

Can you tell Wyatt and Whitney feel comfortable at their house. Sheesh!

One of our favorite places to eat as a family is IHOP. Because who doesn't love breakfast for dinner and kids eat free for every adult purchase!

Christmas Pintereste Ornament - Did it work???

So I wanted to help Whit's class with a keepsake Christmas ornament. If your like me you are NOT a fan of the cheap foam Christmas ornaments you get from your child's class. Although, cute they just don't hold up over a day time. So to Pinterest I go. Found a super cute handprint Santa ornament. Tested it with my kids first and it was a hit!!! They are very easy to make. See recipe at the end of the blog.

Set of 15 ornaments for her class. Thanks to Ms. Erin for her help in making everyone's hand print. I baked them at the school. Then took them home to decorate.

Attached to each ornament was a cute little poem...

"This is to remind you

when I have grown so tall,

that I was once quite little

and my hands were very small."

 

Here's the recipe for the Salt Dough Hand Ornaments

Combine 1/2 Cup salt

1/2 Cup flour

1/4 Cup water (give or take)

Kneed until dough forms.

Make impressions and cut out hand shape, leaving a small border.

Don't forget this step!!! Poke a hole in the top for hanging. A straw works perfect.

Bake at 200 degrees for 3 to 31/2 hours. The thicker the hand print the longer it needs to bake. After 3 hours, flip the ornament over if it has any soft spots bake an additional 30 minutes. Don't worry about cracking the paint will cover that up.

Paint, Seal and ready to hang!

 

 

 

 

 

Christmas Photo Props

And for Wyatt's class I wanted to incorporate a picture into his class ornament. Because they're only in kindergarten once right?! I know I will treasure this ornament for years to come! So I found some Christmas photo props at hobby lobby. So not only we'll have a precious picture we'll have a sign of the times. Whose NOT doing photo props now. So before I can have a photo session with his class I just HAD to try it out on my kiddos first. They had so much fun...
