What's a Rainbow Loom?

What's a rainbow loom you ask? Whaaat? What rock have you been under. It's only the coolest craftiest piece of plastic that makes awesome bracelets that when they fall apart leave little bitty rubberbands all over your house!
Oh, but Wyatt loves it and got straight A's on his report card so he was rewarded with one. Oh, and mommy "kinda" likes to play with it too.

Foolish People

Conversation in the car on the way home this evening:
Not sure what was said before this. But my ears perked up as soon as I heard this statement below:

Wyatt: Because I have Jesus in my Heart.
Whitney: Well I have Jesus in my heart too!

Silence - but the squeaky wheels of Whitney's brain spinning.

Whitney - Does mommy have Jesus in her heart?
Wyatt - Yes ( but said drastically, like "duh")
Whitney - Daddy? (this goes on for most of the family)
Wyatt - Yes Whitney and if people don't have Jesus in the heart they are foolish people and bad guys.

Hmmmm, think it's time for me to interject...

Me: Wyatt, how do you know about people being foolish if they don't have Jesus in their hearts?
Wyatt: Fishers of men song at school.
Me: Oh, ok. Well people are foolish if they don't have Jesus in their hearts but it doesn't make them bad guys. In fact, if they don't have Jesus in their hearts it's our job to teach them about Jesus.
Wyatt: Well, ok but I'm not telling the "for real" bad guys. For real mom, I'm not!
Me: Ok. What would you tell the other people about Jesus?
Wyatt: That Jesus loves them no matter what, and that he beats up the bad guys with his fists, like this (5 year old beating up an imaginary bad guy)
Me: Smiling and speechless.....

I told this story to Wyatt's Kindergarten teacher. After laughing she did want to clarify that they do listen to the song Fishers of Men in bible time but the song does NOT mention Jesus beating up the bad guys with fists.

Kids say the cutest things!!

The day before Disney

The day before we left for Disney, Mickey and Minnie delivered a very special package especially for Wyatt and Whitney. They were so surprised!!

Tree is up

The tree is up and we are ready for Disney!

Thanksgiving Feast at School

Parties are always fun at school. Thanksgiving is my favorite. I could eat Thanksgiving food everyday of the year!

Let your hair down.

Sometimes you just gotta take your pigtails out and eat dinner half naked!

Playing with Friends

Wyatt had a buddy spend the night and then we met up with his other buddy for an entire day full of playing, shopping, seeing Santa, eating, and then some more playing. Always, fun when these kids get together.

 

They were not up for a group picture with Santa but agreed on a picture with Jesus. Love these kids!!

You can't see Wyatt's arms in this picture but they are crossed. And he is totally analyzing this Santa guy. Then decided no picture was necessary!

But this Santa will do!

 

Thanks to Ms. Anne she bought them some special goodies for being so good in the store. They were patiently waiting for us to finish checking out with the new Christmas decos for Anne's house.

Can you tell Wyatt and Whitney feel comfortable at their house. Sheesh!
