Blastball

Blastball season is coming to an end....Yes the end. It only lasted 4 weeks (Yay for me!). It has been an awesome experience for our entire family. A little taxing when they had 2 or 3 games in one week but we had a couple rain days so that helped. Overall, I love having a little boy who loves playing sports. He played last week without the help of Daddy on the field. That was huge! Made David a little sad but he did great! David helped tonight because they were short handed so Wyatt was happy. He's gotten the concept down of hitting the ball and running to first base and not running after the ball once he hit it........ Now, about being in the outfield waiting for the ball. Not so much. He would rather play with the dirt. Hey, but isn't that what their supposed to do at this age. At least he's ON the field. We are very proud of him and look forward to many more games! Sneeky Kleets team rocks!

When the Sneeky Kleets played the Purple Eaters, aka Ms. Amber's class played Ms. Amy's class, there was a big fan club from the boys school watching. Thanks guys!It made their day to see you cheering them on!!! Only 2 games left and hopefully they'll quit asking everyday for you to come watch them play ;)

Getting a quick batting tip from Coach PePaw.

Look at that focus on that boy's face. Love it!

Running to first base after he hit it out of the park (ok so maybe he really just hit it between 2nd and 3rd base ;). Does he look so proud of himself or what!!!!!

That's my boy!

Love, love, love this picture. Got his game hat on backwards and ready for the ball. Would have been great if he would have actually run after the ball. Oh well, I'll settle for a great picture!

Uh Oh, getting a little talking to about playing in the dirt.

Another great hit!

Great job Wyatt. We are so proud of you!!!

2 of his biggest fans. PawPaw and Nana Dedwylder.

Mother's Day at School with Wyatt

Mother's Day this year was so special because I got to attend my 1st Mother's Day Tea with Wyatt. I can recall SEVERAL years ago wondering if I would EVER get the chance to celebrate being a mother. What an incredible BLESSING and JOY it is to now celebrate Mother's Day with not 1 but 2 beautiful children! God truly granted my heart's desire with 2 of the most amazing children. Ohhhhh how I love them so!!!!

Celebrating Mother's Day at The Sloan School

Wyatt handing me the adorable gifts he made me. He was so proud.

Blake was taking pictures using his mom's iphone. I had never shown Wyatt how to take pictures on my iphone. All it took was another 2 year old showing him how and he went photography crazy. Taking pictures of his buddy Blake. So cute!

.....Still taking pictures.

Taking pictures of Jacob and having so much fun!

I would have posted a picture Wyatt took but we need to fine tune his photography subjects first.

Playdate

Wyatt's teacher Ms. Amber came over today with her cutie patootie Allie, who is 2 months older than Whitney. We made hair bows and played with the kiddos. We had a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure Wyatt was over the top that his teacher was at our house. He was so sweet with Allie. He amazes me everyday how his little heart shows so much love and compassion for others around him. Sure makes me a PROUD mommy! We wanted to get pictures of the girls together and took them outside. Little did we know we would have such perfect models and ended up having a little mini photo session! Such Cuties! Can't wait for them to come back for another play date! This was the VERY 1st picture I took. How perfect are they!?! Allie absolutely, positively LOVED being in the grass. She was crawling super fast all over the yard. Whitney on the other hand just sat there. Pretty sure she'll be my girly girl who doesn't want to get dirty. Wyatt was so precious with the girls.

Such a sweet girl. Allie girl your welcome over anytime!

Toy Story 3 on Ice

Last Saturday we took Wyatt to see Toy Story 3 on Ice. Before we get to that I should tell you how our weekend started. Friday at 12 had to take Wyatt home with a 101.4 fever. Selfishly, I thought, oh no we have toy story 3 tickets - we are going to see this! So took him home gave him Motrin and he slept for 4 hours! That evening his fever got up to 102.6 and he started complaining of his mouth hurting. Totally thought it was strep. Took him to the doctor in the morning and it was not strep just a virus but this virus was causing blisters on his throat (poor baby) he wasn't kidding about his mouth hurting. He stopped running fever Sat am so we gave him Tylenol and later Motrin right before we left. My friend Amy had a brilliant idea to ride the train to the AAC. What a great idea! Until the train got there and we had to sit on the floor. It was so crowded that at the next stop the conductor announced to the awaiting passengers to NOT board the train because it is OVERLOADED and if you do you enter under your own duress. REALLY!!! I went into prayer overdrive, please dear Lord let us get there safely and not be on the news about a train disaster. Luckily we made it there safe and sound. It was a great show and riding the train was great! We will definitely be doing both things again! Wyatt, Lindsey, and Miles patiently waiting for the train.

Wyatt in his seat. He was so excited even though he was sooooo not feeling 100 %. See how his shirt is all nice and clean. I'll explain later.

Mommy and Wyatt. Can't wait for the show to start!

The army men's entrance was awesome. Some of them even came in flying.

Ah. Now to explain the clean shirt. In the picture below you will see traces of nacho cheese. David got us nachos and drinks before the show started and when he came back HE accidentally dumped them all over Wyatt. (Yes honey, YOU did it. Like I told you last night.....Everyone who knows you and everyone who knows me, knows YOU are more prone to weird freak occurrences). If you talk to him about this and he says I DID please just give him the courtesy nod like I'm sure she did David.

Back to Toy Story 3. This was Buzz's entrance. Awesome!

Wyatt's favorite characters....Woody and Buzz.

The Aliens and The Claw

See the Buzz Sword in Wyatt's hand.....YES I AM that mom who buys her children the stupid little event trinkets. I asked Amy if she was going to get Miles anything and she said only if HE asks for it. I thought to myself well crap, that's a good idea. OK self, DO NOT get anything for Wyatt unless he asks. Not five minutes later Wyatt said "Mommy, I want that". Pointing to a little boy in front of us with the sword. YES, I get to buy him something because HE did ask for it!!!!

Had to include this picture. See the smirk on David's face. That's pretty much how he felt about the sword. He is not that DAD who spends money on event "rip offs". Whatever. Life's too short.

Woody flying on his kite to get out of Sunnyside DayCare.

Couple minutes before the show was over we scrambled out to get a seat on the train. Lucky us we all got seats. Wyatt had so much fun looking out the window.

Blast Ball!

Wyatt had his first blast ball practice tonight with his teammates the "Sneaky Kleets". For those of you who don't know blast ball is so stinking cute! It's really the level before T-Ball. It's basically just teaching them the concept of baseball. After they hit the ball off the T they run to first base and jump on it and it "HONKS"! After that, they stand between what would be 2nd and 3rd base to wait and catch (really chase) the next batter's ball. Wyatt had alot of fun. Which I'm sure had alot to do with the fact that one of his lifelong friends (Jacob) is on the team. He caught on quick on hitting the ball and chasing after the ball. Got to throw it a couple times too. I clearly think we have an athlete........had to stop typing for a second. Got a call from the Texas Rangers. Can you tell I'm a proud baseball Momma! Wyatt running to 1st base. Look at that face! He's so proud of himself. Jacob and Wyatt sizing up the next batter.

Happy Baseball Boy!

He looks like he's ready to steal a base. Little does he know he's NOT on a base.

I think Wyatt is trying to trade his glove for Jacob's bat so he can go hit!
