As soon as we realized how pretty today was going to be we took off for the park. Wyatt absolutely LOVES to be outside. As soon as he saw the park from inside the car he was beside himself. Really! He was going CRAZY in his car seat. I think his favorite part was sliding down the slide with his Daddy. As I'm listening to this week's forecast (snow again!) I am so glad we took the opportunity for some outside play time!

Our very own winter wonderland....
Although I really don't like being out here in the middle of nowhere, it is VERY beautiful when covered with snow...

Our week in review...
This week has been a very busy/recuperating week for us. I started off the week with yet another sinus infection(3rd one in 6 weeks) but also had a upper resp. infection with it. Yuck. However, despite my illness and freezing weather I still went to Canton last Sunday to get Whitney's bedding. I'm one determined Momma. And I found the perfect bedding for her (see pic below). I can't wait to put her room together. While in Canton, I also bought her some adorable outfits. Can't wait till she's big enough to wear them.
Having a girl is going to be soooo much fun!

Whitney's Bedding
Wyatt started sleeping on a big boy nap mat at school. He does such a great job staying on the nap mat and sleeps for 2 hours. Such a big boy!
These last couple of months have been so fun watching Wyatt grow and learn new things. It seems like his vocabulary increases by 10 words every day. One of the things he's learned that we're not so fond of is his STUBBORNESS. I'm pretty sure if you look up stubborness in the dictionary you'll see a picture of him. He has it down to an art.
Example:
Wyatt is standing in his chair..
(Me/David) "Wyatt you need to sit down in your chair."
(Wyatt) Still standing on his chair staring you straight in the eye without blinking.
(Me/David) "Wyatt (said very sternly)"
(Wyatt) Still staring you straight in the eye, then with eyebrows moving up and lifts his mouth in the corner with this smirk of oh yeah, what are you going to do about it.
(Me/David) "If you don't sit down right now your going to time out"
(Wyatt) "No" then FINALLY sits down.
Whew! What a challenge. The fun we have ahead of us. Oh yeah, I think in the definition of stubborness it also says "excellent skill to have for a future strong, very successfull CEO of a multi-zillion dollar business some day."
On Thursday we went to my 20 Week OB appt. Everything is looking great! She's measuring right on track. She was extremely active during the ultrasound. It was so fun to watch. Despite her activeness she did give us some great pictures.
Her profile debut! So beautiful!

She is already her daddy's girl. She's doing the "Gig-Em" Sign!

Have you heard the news?...
You mean you didn't hear me shouting it from the roof tops or see it on the news. Does the picture give you a clue? YES! We're having a baby GIRL! I'm so excited about having a baby girl. David is a little nervous but very excited. Your next question may be do we have any names picked out? Well, sort of....right now we're going with Whitney Lee. I think Wyatt and Whitney sounds so adorable! We also found out some other wonderful news at the Dr appointment and that is that my placenta has already moved where it's supposed to be. That means I won't have any of the problems I had with Wyatt's pregnancy. I can not imagine being on bed rest right now and not being able to pick him up at all. If I don't post for awhile that's because I'm too busy shopping for Whitney! Watch out Canton here I come!

Dear Santa...
...Wyatt would love a bubble machine. Ms Becky let the babies use her bubble machine today and boy did they have a blast. Wyatt's hair was covered in bubble goop by the end of the day. Does he look like he's having fun or what. Thanks Ms. Becky!

Sorry Santa...
Well, we tried getting Wyatt's picture take again with Santa. This time we tried it at Bass Pro Shop. I thought this time it would take. David walked him around to see the train and the other kids getting their picture taken with Santa. Santa even looked up and waved at Wyatt and he waved back. So we thought maybe it will be ok. We were wrong. He wanted nothing to do with Santa. Proof is in the picture. Thanks for being such a good sport Santa. Even though he didn't smile we will treasure these pictures for a lifetime.
At least we made things better by letting him play with a toy guy afterwards.

Happy Thanksgiving
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ours was wonderful. We had family over to our house this year and I cooked my first turkey (from a recipe from Barefoot Contessa) and it was awesome. I was very proud of myself. Wyatt had a blast playing with his cousin Michael. My sister and I were 2 of the crazy kazillion people that went to Grapevine Mills Mall Thanksgiving night at Midnight and....we'll never do it again! It's one of those been there done that, don't need to do it again. However, I did save ALOT of money on clothes for Wyatt. Everything in Tommy Hilfilger kids was 50% off and when you walked in they gave you a coupon for an additional 20% off. I racked up on clothes all the way to size 3t. Carter's also had everything 50% off in their store. Several other stores had 50%off but you had to wait in a line that wrapped around the store. I'm NOT doing that. Overall we had a wonderful holiday week and can't wait for Christmas! I don't have many pictures to post because I left that up to David. What was I thinking...Cowboys and Aggies playing on the same day! I did manage to get this adorable picture of Wyatt's cousin Michael pushing him on his car.

My Sweet Babies
We went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago for my pregnancy checkup and everything went great! Baby #2 is due June 23rd! That's right, 2 days before Wyatt's birthday! June will be a very busy month for us! We're so excited. This pregnancy is definetly different than with Wyatt. I have had a lot of nautiousness (thankgoodness nothing has actually happened) and I'm craving alot of sweets. Whataburger's cinnamon rolls are my fav right now! Other than that everything is going great.
Baby #2's debut!!!

Wyatt is just a ball of energy and we're having such a blast watching him grow up and develop quite the personality. Some of our favorite things he's doing is, he loves to be silly and make you laugh, he loves to give kisses, he LOVES to be outside no matter what the weather, he's talking up a storm, and he's super duper attached to momma right now (my favorite, but makes daddy a little jealous). Even though he's practically perfect there is one area he needs to work on....it's taking professional pictures (surprise, surprise). We had christmas pictures at school setup with a really pretty scene and he was in an adorable outfit and would have absolutely nothing to do with it. I was going to scan the proof's to show you but I can't find the proofs. When I find them I'll post them. Poor baby is screaming and will absolutely not sit down. I did order them. One day we'll look back when he's older and laugh. One week later I took him to Decorator's Warehouse to check out the fun christmas decos and to our surprise there was a Santa there. Wyatt was going to town on a candy cane so I thought great, I'll just put him in Santa's lap real fast and take some pics. Well, we definetly got some pics that are PRICELESS! Poor baby. I'm sure this a phase and before I know it he'll be too big to sit in Santa's lap.

Happy Halloween
Halloween was so fun this year. For school Wyatt was the tin man and I was the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. For trick or treating he went as a pumpkin. He had a BLAST trick or treating. We definetly have a party animal on our hands. We met up with his cousins and trick or treated on our way to the park that was having a festival and then trick or treated back to the house. We had so much fun, can't wait till next year (Hard to believe we'll have a 2 year old and 4 month old this time next year)!
Having fun swinging at the park.
Wyatt dressed as the tin man for school.
Dressed up with his cousings ready to go have some fun!

Cousin Emma showing him how to trick-or-treat.
Can you see the excitement on his face. He was totally digging the free candy thing.

A very interesting, unexpected, thrilling week!
Our week as sure been an interesting one. We started off with Wyatt recovering from the flu. He was back at school on Tuesday and is doing so much better. However, I noticed this morning that he has some "interesting" looking drainage from one of his ears which means he has an ear infection. So we'll be going back to the doctor in the morning. This will be his first ear infection since getting tubes.
On Thursday, I had taken the day off to get the house clean without anyone bothering me. I woke up that morning feeling horrible. I went to the doctor and turns out I have tonsillitis. Very random. Can't even remember the last time I had it. The biggest surprise however is that we found out on Thursday that we are pregnant! Can you believe it. Totally unexpected, and an amazing surprise. I was told that I would never be able to get pregnant without having a procedure. Little did the doctor know that God had a plan for us to be able to experience this miracle unexpectedly and on our own! We are still in a bit of shock but overall absolutely thrilled! We haven't been to our first dr appt yet but according to the internet the due date is 2 days before Wyatt's 2nd bithday! Won't that be fun! We had so much fun telling everyone. We had a family dinner with David's family that night and Wyatt wore a t-shirt that said "I'm the big brother!". He also wore the shirt to school on Friday and that's how we told everyone. It was so exciting seeing everyone's reactions! Can't believe we're going to have 2 children 2 years apart!

Flu, Flu Go Away!
My poor baby Wyatt has the FLU! It all started on Thursday a.m. Woke up with a slight fever and as the day went on his fever got higher and higher. Called the dr and she said make an appointment for the morning. Something told me we weren't going to make it until the morning. At 4:30 pm he had a 101.6 temp so we gave him Tylenol rechecked his temp 45 minutes later and it was a 102.8! Immediately called the dr and she said go to the ER. So we went.... and after a lot of poking, prodding, temp checks, weight check, chest x-rays and flu nose swab test we found out he had the fLu! (Those of you wondering yes he did get the flu shot and the test was negative for Type A a.k.a The Swine Flu). So they gave him a prescription for Tamiflu and a cough medicine.
We are now on day 4 of the fLu and he is still MiSeRaBlE! Poor baby is still running a fever, has now lost his voice from all the coughing and crying. The only thing he wants to do is get in the car and drive around. He grabs my keys and drags my purse to the door and says in his poor groggy/scratchy pitiful voice"bye, bye". We have had to fill up the car 3 times in the last 4 days. But that's ok because this is just about the only place he'll sleep. He has spent the last several nights in bed with us for several reasons. 1)I'm scared if he'll have a reaction because he's taking 2 new medicines on top of his tylenol and motrin every 3 hours and 2) he wakes up every hour on the hour in the middle of the night. Sometimes I just want to cry because he can't use his words to tell me what's wrong. I wish I had the flu instead of him. How miserable and helpless he must feel. He's taking a nap in his bed right now which is a sign (fingers crossed) he's feeling somewhat better. I'm sure he'll be up in time for the cowboy game so "hey boys can you do us a favor and play an amazing game and win today! I don't think I can take a grumpy/sick baby and a grumpy husband all in one day!"
P.S. The adorable blog/header picture is thanks to Wyatt's amazing teachers Ms. Jessica and Ms. Alyssa. His first school art project! Momma is so proud!
