I want a Wii!
I have been wanting a Wii ever since they came out (I'm the gamer of the family). David can think of other things he would like to spend that money on. Probably something for hunting....ugh that's no fun for me. Well, one of David's friends bought a Wii for his son. So we invited them over for a Wii party and asked them to bring the Wii. The first game we played was tennis. That is my sport and I am so glad they did not get pictures of me. I was swinging like I was on a real court. But it was soooo much fun. I did capture these pics of David and Chris boxing. I was laughing so hard I was crying. I'm still not sure if we're going to a get a Wii , but I'm working on it.

The 1st of many trips to Bass Pro for Wyatt
We really wanted to take Wyatt to Bass Pro the Monday before Christmas for Santa Pics. He ended up getting a really bad ear infection so we waited until the day after Christmas to go. Even though Santa wasn't there we still got to sit in his chair.

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Especially since it was Wyatt's first. He had so much fun opening the presents and eating whatever the presents were wrapped in.
Our Christmas week was very busy. On Monday I had a feeling that something was wrong with Wyatt. Turns out he had a major ear infection. It was a miserable day. Typically when Wyatt is sick we go to the doctor and he is magically better and I look like a crazy mom -" I promise doctor he really wasn't acting like this an hour ago." This time was different. He screamed the entire time we were waiting for the doctor. He cried so much his voice was hoarse the next day. So when the doctor finally came in she got straight to business and said he has a "super bad ear infection." She asked if we had given him any Tylenol and we said yes this is on Tylenol. She left and came back with miracle pain relieving ear drops. And gave us a prescription for the ear drops and an antibiotic. My poor baby. He finally started feeling better on Christmas Day.
Now on to the next day....We had dinner at David's parents house on Tuesday night. Then my family came over the next day for our Christmas with them. Then Christmas Day we went to David's brothers. And Friday we took Wyatt to Bass Pro for the first time. And now I am ready to do absolutely nothing all weekend! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and we wish you a very blessed new year! Here are a few pics from the last few days.
I promise we really did feed him.
Morning mom did Santa come?
I love my Taggie book from Nana B!
Do you see something wrong with this picture?
Hanging with Cousin Katie.

No Santa Tears
Santa visited our school today and of course I wanted Wyatt's picture with him. Wyatt has been going through a "stranger" phase so I wasn't sure how this was going to go. As you can see from the pictures below Wyatt had no problem sitting in Santa's lap. I'm sure that will change next year.

Picture Crazy
I took advantage of the Cyber Deals they had for the after Thanksgiving sale and snagged an awesome Nikon camera. I have gone picture taking crazy. David is afraid Wyatt is going to go blind because of course all the pictures I'm taking are of him. Here are just a few....

Happy Thanksgiving!
Wyatt's first Thanksgiving was great! He got a little fussy towards the end but I think he got a little overstimulated with all the kids. Which surprises me because he is Mr. Nosy at school and loves watching all the kids. He did surprise us with a little trick. As soon as we put him on the floor for "tummy time" he figured out how to "scrawl". He was lifting his hiney way into the air, putting his feet and knees under him and scooting his check on the floor. And he was laughing while he was doing it. So cute! By the time I got the camera out he stopped doing it...of course! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, these are some of the pics from our great day!
What a cute family!
"OK mommy, I know this is my first Thanksgiving 'cuz my outfit says so, but I'm a little hot. Can you change me please!
After his outfit change. He's doing his I'm in a cooler outfit dance!
Wyatt with 3 of his cousins. He loved taking a picture with them.

Roll Over, Roll Over!
Wyatt has mastered the art of rolling over from his back to his stomach. I caught this pic when he was supposed to be taking a nap!

Daddy Time
David captured this picture while they were hanging out when I was making dinner. You can just see how much Wyatt loves his daddy!

Carrots, Sweet Potatoes and Peas...Oh My!
Well, a lot has happened in the past 2 weeks. Wyatt got over the croup somewhat, but has had a lingering cough and congestion. We took him back to the doctor on Thursday just to make sure it hadn't developed into something else and it did...an ear infection. So he is on his first antibiotic of Amoxicillin and doing great.
We also started solids last week in hopes of helping his reflux. I'm a little tired of changing his outfit everytime he spits up. Wyatt seems to really like the veggies so far. He recognizes when the spoon is coming and opens his mouth. His favorite so far is peas. I think I'll have to feed the peas. David is not a fan of peas or pretty much any green veggies. Hopefully Wyatt will take after me. I love veggies, and fruit, and just about any food.

Happy Halloween
Wyatt had his 4 month checkup yesterday and he weighs 13.5 lbs and is 24 1/2 inches long. He got 2 shots and started running a fever yesterday and today he has croup. We talked to the docter tonight and we have our orders. We did the steam shower and then took him straight to the freezer to breathe the cold air. He seems to be in a pretty good mood despite his "barking". It sounds so painful. My heart breaks for him. Loving on him after he gets shots is one thing but when your child gets sick. Oh my goodness, the world stops and all I want to do is love on him and make the sickness go away. David was supposed to leave today to go to the deer lease for opening weekend. But he is staying to see us through the night. If all goes well he will leave in the morning. I'm so glad he stayed because I don't know if I can get through this without him. This was us this morning before he started feeling yucky. I was the football referee and he was the football player and the bottom half of his costume is a football. He was sooooo cute!!

Practice makes perfect - well sorta....
We started Wyatt on cereal in his night bottle all last week. We only put a teaspoon and a half in his bottle so he could get used to the texture. That seemed to be going well, so yesterday I decided to practice with the spoon. He only ate 4 out of 6 ozs of his bottle and he was in a great mood. So I thought this would be a good time to practice. As soon as I took the spoon out of his mouth this is the face he gave me...
We tried 3 more times after this picture. He eventually got the hang of it. However, his tummy did not. I will spare you a picture but let's just say for every bottle there after he had a "rear" explosion. They were out of this world stinky! Needless to stay I did not put cereal in his night bottle last night and today so far he is back on his pooping schedule. Just in case you were wondering.

Green Meadows Pumpkin Patch and Animal Farm
We went to Green Meadows pumpkin patch and animal farm by Joe Pool Lake today. I'm still nervous about taking Wyatt out into public places. Not because of a reason that would make sense like people touching him or germs but because I'm not sure how he'll act and I'm not in my secure environment to deal with it(I know it's silly). Oh yeah, he's not a big fan of his car seat. If we're moving in the car it's fine but just sitting there, no way. So getting out today is the start to taking him out more often and it went better than I thought it would. We met up with friends to celebrate their son's 1 year old birthday. It started with a picnic by the lake. Then ended up at the animal farm. Not so much a pumpkin patch. I got a lot of great pictures. Here are a few....
Took a little cat nap before the goats.
He had so much fun looking at all the people and all the animals.
Thank you for inviting us. We had a great time (despite my fears). Happy Birthday Miles! You look so handsome.
Not sure what to say about this pic...
Wyatt has started a kicking frenzy anytime you lay him on his back. He gets to kicking so fast and moving his arms up and down. Looks like he might take flight. I wanted to take a picture of him in this outfit before he spit it up on it and this is what I caught......That's my boy!

True Dallas Cowboys Fan!
Wyatt's favorite thing to watch on t.v.(i.e. hold's his attention the longest) is Dallas Cowboys football! This was from last weekend and I couldn't get his attention off the game. Granted he only watched it for about 5 minutes, but he was sure focused on it. Maybe he's learning some plays for his future career!

Thank You Ms. Jessica and Ms. Alyssa!
Ms. Jessica and Ms. Alyssa are Wyatt's teachers at The Sloan School. They are the best baby teachers I have ever worked with at the school. I left my digital camera with them today in hopes they would snag a few pictures of him in his cute outfit. Well, they captured some amazing pictures. I knew Wyatt was happy when he was with them but I had no idea he was this happy. Thank you Ms. Jessica and Ms. Alyssa for taking care of my precious child with such love, nurturing and compassionate hearts. We love you so much!
Another great thing about the school is that Wyatt doesn't get love just from his teachers but all the teachers. Alot of them go to the baby room during their specials, lunch or after work just to love on the babies. That just fills my heart with so much joy. It relieves me knowing that its okay that I'm not a stay at home mom because he is loved all day long by so many "mommies". It takes a village to raise a child anyway right?
Ms. Lizz and Wyatt having so much fun!
