Ice/Snow Day #4

Am I really blogging about Ice/Snow Day #4....Yep!!! This is crazy but I sure am enjoying the time at home. So here's how our day went today....

We have ducks in the pond behind our house. Now those have to be some cold ducks. Aren't they supposed to go south for the winter?

I'm surprised I got this smile out of Whitney. Shortly after this picture we braved the drive to her pediatrician to find out she has a double ear infection. Poor baby. I knew something was wrong with her last night. Glad we made the choice to take her today, that would have been one miserable weekend.

After the doctor we finally got Wyatt out in the snow. He had a blast!!!

The pond started freezing up. Those ducks are crazy for staying here.

Getting ready to make a snowman. Didn't notice this while I was taking this picture but that smile on David's face sure looks suspicious. No worries. Nothing happened. Thanks to the expensive camera and baby monitor I was holding.

Wyatt threw snow up and it went right in his face. Wasn't too fond of that.

Helping Daddy build a snowman.

Does he have his "cheese" pose down or what. Snapped this after I told him to stop and say cheese.

The boys attempt at a snowman. Hey, we're Texans we don't know anything about building snowmen. Maybe we'll get another shot at it next week. Heard there's more snow on the way.

Playing Snow Soccer.

Bet you didn't know you can mow snow.

Baking cookies. Wyatt had to line the cutters up in a choo-choo first.

Rolling out the cookie dough.

Taking the cookie cutter job very seriously.

The best part of the job....eating the icing.

Look at that focus on his face!

Adding the final touches.

Enjoying the final product. He only had 1 cookie and it took 1 full hour to burn off the sugar.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the time off this week. So glad it's Friday and we have 2 more days to stay home!

Cabin Fever....

So third day in a row we stayed home. I could have gone to work today but Whitney decided to have a party all night in her room. She must have forgotten to send out the invitations. I clearly would not have gone to this party, but I WAS THERE. All night!!!! During the day she was great up until about 5 pm. Decided she wanted to skip that nap and turned into cranky baby. If you know Whitney, you know she hardly EVER cries. Seriously, the other day at school her teachers told me she cried for the 2nd time since she was 6 weeks old. She's the happiest baby except for tonight. She had a screaming uncontrollable fit for about an hour. It completely broke our hearts and we had to handle her in shifts. We finally gave her Motrin and I rocked her to sleep. Not sure what's wrong. Only thing I can think is she has an ear infection cuz she is not taking her bottles at all and sits up every time you lay her back. So we'll be going to the doctor tomorrow.
As for the rest of the day with Wyatt was amazing. He slept until 9 am! We had a very funfilled day.
We.....
*played with playdough
*built a fort
*kept taking his toys AWAY from Whitney
*snacked, ate lunch, snacked again
*sucked the boogies out of his teddybear's nose and gave him a shot. Can you tell who he watches.
*Showed Whitney how to crawl.
*jumped off his stroller onto a pile of pillows and said "Momma, watch this!" every single time.
*Had "Donalds" for dinner.
*Went to bed.........oh no wait, technically he's IN bed but soooo not asleep. I'm pretty sure he's turned his bed into a trampoline!

Here's our fort. Could use some work I know. We had so much fun reading books in the fort with a flashlight.

Wyatt fixing the fort with his sister watching.

Won't see a smile in this picture. This is how she looked pretty much all day. Poor thing.

She's been trying so hard to crawl. She can definetly move backwards and in circles. Just can't get the forward motion down. I'm in no hurry. When she figures that out were in TROUBLE!

Taking her brothers toys again.

Jumping Wyatt!

His number 1 fan is watching him. He told her before every jump "Watch this baby girl"! So cute.

So the word is we're supposed to get more snow tonight, next Monday and wintery mix next Thursday. Seriously. Is mother nature confusing us with Canada? Too cold for this Texan!

Enjoying the Pretty Weather

So on Sunday we totally took advantage of the beautiful weather. Couldn't on Saturday because I was scrapbooking all day with my friends. Thanks to the hubby for watching the kids all day! It was still a little chilly on Sunday but I knew we needed to take advantage of it. Supposed to get snow and ice tomorrow. Ugh! Wyatt wouldn't stand still long enough for any pics so I just got pics of "baby girl".

Oh those baby blues!!! And chubby cheeks!!!

She was digging being outside. She needs to get used to it because we'll be spending ALOT of time outside. Her brother and Daddy LOVE the outdoors!

About that bow.....

Today was Whitney's first day in the baby "eating" table at school. This table seats 4 babies. It was a very surreal moment. Because it seems like yesterday Wyatt was sitting in the same exact spot eating his first cupcake. Time is flying way too fast. Whitney sure loved the new table. She's such a social girl, she is going to love this table.
I haven't really talked much about the differences of Wyatt and Whitney but let me just tell you. Her name should be "Happy" cuz this girl smiles 24/7. She even smiled when she got her first booboo at school. Whitney will smile at ANYONE where Wyatt had to first size you up before he would smile. But when he did he would light up your world.
I cannot wait for Whitney to be able to talk. I think she will annoy the tar out of her brother with "Watcha doing Wyatt? Can I play Wyatt? Will you play dollies with me Wyatt? Wyatt will love every minute of it. He stayed home yesterday with Daddy because he was running a fever. When Whitney and I got home it was time for her to take a nap. Wyatt cried and said he didn't want "baby girl" to take a nap. I asked him why and he said he wanted to play with her. Awwwwww. It took everything in me not to put her to bed and let them play. I love how their relationship is developing into such a sweet sibling love.
Whitney is now 7 months old! What!?! When did that happen? She is sitting up on her own, trying to crawl (mainly goes backward) absolutely LOVES to dance. She doesn't even need music. You can say "Go Whitney, Go Whitney" and she'll start moving her upper body up and down. It's the funniest and cutest thing ever! We're introducing a sippy cup to her this weekend. She is loosing interest in her bottle. She would MUCH rather be playing, dancing or just smiling at people. She is very funny to watch in her jumper. She will make herself jump up and down and then all of a sudden she'll do one big jump and then make herself stop and stand. Then she looks around and has this look of "tada". So cute. Think we have a future gymnast.

Here she is sitting at the big girl table. About that bow......gotta love it. For some reason it doesn't look ridiculous until I see it on her in a picture. It's as big as her head!!! How can she even hold her head up?

Big girl standing up on the table. Had to get a pic of the entire outfit. She looks so stinking cute in her silver shoes and leggings.

Catching Up To Do

Wow. It's been awhile since I've blogged. We have been a busy little family and it took me staying home sick for 4 days to get me to update the blog. So here we go....

Wyatt wanted to get in Whitney's bed while I was taking pictures of the big girl sitting up by herself. Here's the pic I got before he jumped in the bed with her..

He thinks he's so funny.

Just want to warn you before you see the below picture. It will shock you might even scare you. My mom brought a wig over to see if she would like the haircut on her. So....we put it on Whitney.....She thought it was so funny.

My sister and her Fiance came for a late Christmas. Little did they know they would have a little Elf named Wyatt to help them open their presents. Thanks for being great sports guys.

Wade is an avid cyclist. He was testing out his new helmet cam and Wyatt wanted to put his bike helmet on too.
I wanted to take some more pics of Whitney sitting up but couldn't get her to smile. So I told Wyatt to make her smile. AND boy did she! She sure does love her brother.

Does that smile say "I love my brother" or what!?!

David and I took Wyatt to see BARNEY at the NOKIA Theater. This was his first concert like event to go to. We were excited to see how it was going to go and it was GREAT! In fact, we already have tickets to go see Toy Story 3 on Ice in April.

You can't really see his face in this pic because of our crazy new flash (ARgh). But he has a look of shock and awe. Looked like that the whole time. Love the girl standing up behind him. She's having a blast!

Barney and Friends put on a great active show!

Wonderful Christmas

Christmas was so relaxing and wonderful this year. Christmas Eve David went shopping with his dad. It's their annual thing that drives me crazy but whatever. The kids and I spent the day hanging out and playing and smelling the wonderful stew that was cooking all day. After dinner the kids opened their presents and had a blast.

Wyatt with his tool box/stool. Too bad it fell apart by the next day. I learned alot about toys this Christmas. Specifically what NOT to buy.

Wyatt took the unwrapping VERY seriously.

He was very excited about this big crate of musical instruments.

I finally got pictures of me with the kids.
Wish I would have thought ahead and put makeup on. Oh well, it's the memories that count and they were AMAZING!. Notice the tv in the background. We have AT&T UVerse and their Santa Tracker was soooo cool. In addition to tracking santa they also had, games to play, music, and movies, etc. Good Job AT&T we enjoyed it!

Whitney was cracking me up opening presents. She is a very "hands on" girl. She knew exactly what she was doing.

My baby girl!

Cheesy family shot. It's really hard to get both kids to smile at the same time. FYI -After this pic I took pictures of David with the kids but....You won't see them posted because his eyes are closed in just about all of them. Probably because the new flash is so powerful it practically blinds you.

The Tree.
Christmas PJ picture. This is Wyatt's idea of holding her up. At least she thinks its funny!
I couldn't help but feel young again getting everyone ready for bed on Christmas Eve. The spirit of the evening was so fun. Wyatt's getting the cookies ready for Santa. FYI- cuz I know you'll notice in the picture, Yes Santa LOVES store bought cookies with m&m's.

Cookies and Milk are ready for Santa. Wyatt was so excited!

Christmas Morning started at 5 am! Wyatt woke up wide awake. I picked him up and took him straight to our bed. I didn't say a word about the presents. Usually if we do this he goes back to sleep. However, this particular morning he did not. He kept sitting up and tossing around. An hour later I hear this sweet little whisper "Momma, presents?". I said do you want to see what Santa brought you? He said very enthusiastically YES! So we had our Santa party at 6 am!
One of his big presents was his Buzz Light Year Bike. This is his first bike and he absolutely loves it. Can't ride it yet but I have a feeling it's only a matter of time before he'll be a pro at it.
